GBTA Announces New Board of Directors at the GBTA Convention

Boston, MA, 2012-07-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – revealed the results of its annual Board of Directors elections at the 2012 GBTA Convention in Boston. Michelle (Mick) Lee, managing director, head of Global Travel, Citigroup; Bhart A. Sarin, CCTE, C.P.M., Global Procurement—Travel and Fleet, Ingredion Incorporated and Douglas Weeks, director, Global Sourcing, Booz and Company were all elected as a Direct Member at Large and will serve a three-year term beginning the last day of the Convention.

Eric Norberg, director, Global Business Development, Carlson Wagonlit Travel was elected as an Allied Member at Large. Norberg will also serve a two-year term beginning on the last day of the Convention.

Outgoing members include Maylena Burchfield, CCTE, CLP, executive director, ADTRAV Travel Management; Sharon Fogarty, CCTE, GLP, director, Travel Services, Thomson Reuters; Pamela McTeer, CTC, C.P.M, CCTE, strategic sourcing director, First Data; and, Mark Ziegler, CCTE, GLP, corporate travel manager, Atmel Corporation.

The GBTA Board of Directors consists of fourteen members, including ten travel buyers and four suppliers. GBTA Board elections are held each year in conjunction with the annual GBTA Convention.
