2013-09-06 — /travelprnews.com/ — Ethiopian Aviation Academy graduated 71 cabin crew, 43 aviation maintenance technicians and 140 marketing professionals, including trainees from Equatorial Guinea, in a ceremony held at Ethiopian Airlines headquarters on September 5, 2013.

Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Tewolde GebreMariam, said “Human resource development is one of the four pillars of our Vision 2025. We are investing heavily to expand the in-take capacity of our Academy and to introduce the latest technologies and teaching methods such as the ICAO certified multi-license pilot training. From just a little over 200 trainees’ annual in-take capacity a few years ago, our Academy can now accommodate over 1,000 trainees annually. The aim is to reach 4,000 trainees annual in-take capacity by 2025, with half of our Academy’s capacity catering for the growing training need in Africa and supporting other sisterly airlines in the continent.”

Ethiopian Aviation Academy, which is certified by the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, the US Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency, provides world class training to pilots, aviation technicians, cabin crew, and marketing professionals.
