Social Network Critical to Enterprise’s Recruitment and Hiring of College Graduates

ST. LOUIS, 2013-08-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — Glassdoor today recognized Enterprise with its inaugural Talent Warrior Award, a list of the top 10 companies which excel in social recruiting.

Enterprise Holdings – which owns and operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental brands – is the largest car rental company in the world measured by revenue, fleet and employees. The company credits Glassdoor as one of its largest sources of hires through digital networks. Enterprise Holdings’ Director of Employer Brand Marketing Communication Carolyn Eiseman received the award due to her active engagement in the job and careers community, which has become one of Enterprise’s largest sources of online applicants.

According to Glassdoor, nearly 80 percent of job seekers are likely to use social media in their job search. For example, Enterprise Holdings’ Vice President of Talent Acquisition Marie Artim notes, “The reality is that candidates are online talking about our company, so we need to be on those channels doing the same.”

Artim discussed Enterprise’s success using social media for recruitment during an expert panel last week at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Social Media Mashup conference. “Social media helps us showcase what it’s like to work at Enterprise and our promote-from-within culture,” she said. “We have found highlighting aspects of Enterprise’s culture increases engagement, ultimately attracting more interested, qualified candidates.”

Glassdoor considered more than 300 human resources and recruiting professionals for the Talent Warrior Awards, which honor leaders whodisplayed strong comprehension and proven success via various social channels by using a mix of hiring and employment branding techniques.
