easyJet opened this year’s application process for its award-winning European graduate recruitment programme

Airline invites graduates to apply for 2015 high-flying European training programme

LONDON, 2014-12-2 — /Travel PR News/ — easyJet, the UK’s largest and Europe’s leading airline, has today opened this year’s application process for its award-winning European graduate recruitment programme.

The European Graduate Programme, which launched in 2011 and is now in its fourth successive year, is a two year scheme which will see successful applicants spend time gaining invaluable hands-on experience in key easyJet departments across the airline including Operations, Finance, Engineering, IT, Network, Revenue and Sales, Marketing and HR with a permanent job at the airline once the programme has been completed.

Recent graduates are invited to apply via careers.easyjet.com/graduates for places on the 2015 intake.

The programme offers graduates the chance to experience both day-to-day activities at the airline as well as the opportunity to be involved in longer term business critical projects. Over the two years they will have developed their commercial and operational expertise with the benefit of support from a dedicated mentor.

Alita Benson, easyJet’s Group People Director commented:  “We are delighted to be opening up the recruitment process for easyJet’s 2015 Graduate Recruitment Programme. We are looking for people who are as passionate about aviation as they are about customer service. We are fully committed to nurturing new talent with plenty of development opportunities available to them.

“easyJet is a dynamic and fun place to be and we continue to experience real growth at a time when many in the aviation industry are struggling. The programme is an excellent opportunity for talented graduates to learn from industry leaders and develop their skills for a career that will really take-off.”

Kim McDonnell, Customer Experience Manager, who recently graduated from the scheme commented: “It was very easy for me to make the decision to apply. I have always wanted to work in the aviation industry and as I approached the end of my Masters in 2011 it was the easyJet graduate programme that I believed had the most to offer me.

“During the scheme I worked in a diverse range of departments and was able to target my growth and development – something you are very much encouraged to manage yourself in easyJet with the help of your mentor.

“My placements gave me a really well-rounded view of the business and I got exposure to very senior business leaders, received some great training and development and got to work on business critical projects.

“Having graduated from the scheme my new permanent role is in the Customer Experience team.  The broad range of experience I gained from the graduate programme means I can really help to add value for the business and for our customers who fly with us every day.”

Over the last two years easyJet has received over 3,000 applications. 42 graduates have taken part in the scheme to date and have been recruited from across Europe from countries including the UK, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain and Germany.

The closing dates for applications is 11 January 2015 and shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a final stage assessment at easyJet’s Training Academy in the UK.
