Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Aer Lingus and Doncaster Racecourse partner to raise awareness of the Aer Lingus winter Doncaster – Dublin route

Doncaster, England, 2015-9-7 — /Travel PR News/ — Visitors to Doncaster Racecourse this week (September 11) will be hoping for a touch of Irish luck as Aer Lingus are sponsoring the Flying Childers race.

The race, on Doncaster Cup Day, gets a new partnership between Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Aer Lingus and Doncaster Racecourse under starters’ orders and aims to raise awareness of the Aer Lingus winter Doncaster to Dublin route.

Kate Stow, head of marketing for Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “We are pleased to be working with Doncaster Racecourse again and we are looking forward to seeing all the visitors the St Leger festival brings.

“The racing market is an ideal one for us to promote our five times a week Aer Lingus’ flights to Dublin.

“We will be working closely with the Racecourse for the next six months to offer our passengers and their race going customers extra benefits.”

The St Leger Festival is the world’s oldest classic since 1776 and around 62, 000 visitors came to the town last year to enjoy some world class horse racing, with even more expected to attend this year’s 10-day festival.

“We are thrilled to be working with Doncaster Sheffield Airport and Aer Lingus as part of this fantastic sporting occasion” said Kieran Gallagher, Executive Director at Doncaster Racecourse.

“We hope that the frequent flights between Doncaster Sheffield Airport and Dublin via Aer Lingus will encourage new customers to visit Doncaster Racecourse as well as benefit owners, trainers and jockeys from Ireland attending our race meetings.”

Passengers can fly to Dublin five times a week from Doncaster, with onward transatlantic connections to New York, Boston, Chicago and Toronto with Aer Lingus.
