Arizona Office of Tourism debuts national advertising campaign promoting the Grand Canyon State as world-class leisure destination

National Campaign Promotes Vacation Experiences Enjoyed throughout Arizona

Arizona, 2013-11-4 — /travelprnews.com/ — Beginning this week, the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) debuts a new travel and tourism advertising campaign promoting the Grand Canyon State as a world-class, leisure destination. The five-month national campaign encourages travelers to “Let Yourself Go” and experience various, unique Arizona travel adventures found across the State.

“Travelers are looking for more authentic trip ideas to enjoy and Arizona is the answer,” said Sherry Henry, AOT director. “This new campaign speaks to those travelers looking for unique experiences. It inspires them to visit Arizona and have travel adventures they cannot find anywhere else.”

Arizona’s diverse and beautiful landscape serves as a vibrant backdrop, while different travel activities enjoyed by visitors are featured throughout the ads. Travel consumers are directed to AOT’s consumer website,www.arizonaguide.com for further information on what to see and do throughout Arizona.

The campaign will appear in national media outlets such as television, magazines, newsprint and will be supported by various online marketing efforts to inspire travel to Arizona.

AOT collaborated with Off Madison Ave advertising firm on the concept, design and execution of the campaign. The campaign will run November to March 2014.

AOT works to strengthen the economic impact of the Arizona travel and tourism industry through promotion and marketing efforts. Each year, millions of visitors experience the Grand Canyon State as a travel destination.  In 2012, more than 38 million visitors generated $19.3 billion throughout the state, injecting nearly $53 million each day into Arizona’s economy.

“Arizona’s tourism industry is a major economic engine for our state,” continued Henry. “Tourism impacts each and every community in Arizona. Encouraging visitation to Arizona only increases the benefits residents receive from travelers vacationing in our State.”

The Arizona travel and tourism industry produces revenue in all 15 Arizona counties, and is responsible for generating $2.6 billion in local, state and federal tax revenues. This equates to more than $1,080 per Arizona household. Additionally, the Arizona tourism industry employs more than 161,300 Arizona residents. Combined with the secondary employment that is generated, nearly 300,000 Arizona residents are impacted by this dynamic industry throughout the state.
