Hosted by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) for the third consecutive year, the four-month event treats passengers from around the world to an array of exhibitions and performances, showcasing the city’s charm of East-meets-West culture.

This year’s event presents a diverse mix of programmes, ranging from Cantonese Opera demonstrations, a Cheongsam exhibition, a showcase of Hong Kong movies, visual arts exhibitions, to harp recitals and street music gigs – immersing the airport in Hong Kong’s multicultural ambience.

This is an exceptional experience to visiting passengers, airport staff and the people of Hong Kong.

Ms Fung said, “‘Art, Culture and Music at the Airport’ had won applause from travellers and local citizens alike in the past two years. Building on the past success, this year’s event will continue to engage audience with diversified programmes and new elements. I would like to thank each performer and artist for their participation in making our airport bloom again with the colours of art and culture.”

At the ceremony, various artists gave a preview of the live music performances to be delivered during the event. Another highlight was the performance by the HongYun Konghou Ensemble and acclaimed harpist Raoul Moretti, who plucked the heart strings with Chinese harp and electric harp respectively to mark the first ever presentation of harp music at the event.
