AH&LA FALL CONFERENCE OFFERS WOMEN & UNDER 30 FOCUSED PROGRAMS, SPECIALIZED COMMITTEE MEETINGS, NETWORKING EVENTS

Washington, D.C., 2012-09-26 — /travelprnews.com/ — The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) 2012 Fall Conference, will be November 9-13, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City held with the International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show® (IHMRS).

The Fall Conference begins Friday with the Welcome Reception at the Waldorf Astoria.  IHMRS, which begins Sunday, features more than 20 educational seminars on using the latest technology and design style to appeal to your guests; strategies for women to be proactive in the political process; and earth-friendly operational strategies.

The IHMRS tradeshow, which attracts more than 20,000 attendees, including more than 1,000 exhibiting companies.Highlights include:The Hospitality Leadership Forum on Saturday, November 10, is comprised of eight sessions encompassing a wide range of industry topics and data, and includes the CEO Leadership panel and U.S. Lodging Industry Summit panel, followed by the Keynote Luncheon featuring Anthony Melchiorri, host of the Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible.

An exclusive member event, the Incoming Chair’s Reception, hosted by AH&LA’s HotelPAC on Saturday, November 10, brings attendees together to support the industry’s only political action committee, which helps elect members of Congress who support the lodging community.   Following the reception, the 97th Annual International Hospitality Ball will be held at the Mandarin Oriental.

Sunday, November 11, AH&LA will celebrate incoming Chair Ron Vlasic, CHA, regional vice president of hotels, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. The Inaugural Gala will feature special appearances by industry icons and Vlasic’s platform for the upcoming year.

On Monday, November 12, Women in Lodging will feature a keynote seminar and luncheon, Ms. Representation:  Empowering Women in the Political Process, and Wo-Mentoring – the fast track to professional success, respectively.  AH&LA’s Under 30 Gateway also will feature a leadership seminar, followed by Not Your Boss’s Party at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central that evening.
