Orlando, Fla., 2013-07-12 — /travelprnews.com/ — WorldMark® by Wyndham, one of Wyndham Vacation Ownership’s four primary consumer brands, today announced it has opened its newest resort, WorldMark Chelan – Lake House. Located in Lake Chelan, Washington, just three hours outside of Seattle, the resort is comprised of 30 quartershare and vacation ownership units and was acquired by WorldMark by Wyndham earlier this year. WorldMark by Wyndham anticipates sales to begin in July and will assume property management of all units by the fall of 2013.
“We’re very excited to open WorldMark Chelan – Lake House, as it’s an upscale resort in a highly-desired location,” said Geoff Richards, chief operations officer, Wyndham Vacation Ownership. “We began booking reservations in May, and within 48 hours of opening occupancy the resort was booked for the summer. This immediate demand is a strong demonstration of the desire by our owners to vacation in this pristine area along Lake Chelan.”
The resort offers one- and three-bedroom condominium-style units with full kitchens featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Each unit is also equipped with flat screen televisions, electric fireplaces and oversized decks for entertaining. In addition to its in-room amenities, the resort features a heated pool and hot tub, a children’s splash pad and a 4,000 square foot pool house.
Lake Chelan is a year-around vacation destination. Known for more than 300 days of sunshine a year, the town offers a wide-variety of outdoor activities for its visitors. Guests of WorldMark Chelan – Lake House can enjoy golfing and boating during the summer, or skiing and snowshoeing during the winter. Downtown Laken Chelan is also a hot spot with shops, galleries and wineries.
The resort will become WorldMark by Wyndham’s ninth resort location in Washington State. Other locations include: WorldMark Birch Bay, WorldMark Discovery Bay, WorldMark Lake Chelan Shores, WorldMark Leavenworth, WorldMark Long Beach, WorldMark Mariner Village, WorldMark Seattle – The Camlin, and WorldMark Surfside Inn.
