Wizz Air launches all-new, faster loading website

ALL-NEW LAYOUT, FASTER LOADING AND NEW USER-FRIENDLY FEATURES NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL PLATFORMS

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, 2016-Sep-01 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and Romania’s largest airline announced today that the transition of its all-new website has been successfully completed on all platforms.

Wizz Air’s new, faster website has a responsive layout easily adjustable to any size of display: be it a smartphone, a tablet or a desktop, and it is easier to use than any other current airline website. The revolutionary Express Booking function is a first-of-its-kind feature that allows customers to purchase a ticket in just three clicks within 30 seconds. Wizz Air first introduced the new layout on its birthday in May 2016, by rolling it out for tech-savvy mobile users, who are always on the go and need the fastest access. Now, learning from the feedback and implementing minor adjustments WIZZ has made the new website available on all platforms. WIZZ’s first flight from Bucharest took off in 2007 and since then the airline has continuously grown its low-fare network in Romania – currently offering 119 routes to 18 countries from nine Romanian airports. WIZZ’s Romanian operations not only provide affordable access at WIZZ’s lowest fares between Romania and the rest of Europe, but also stimulate the local job market in aviation and tourism sectors. Over 600 Wizz Air colleagues currently work in Romania, looking forward to welcoming passengers on board WIZZ’s Romanian flights, which this year will support more than 3,300 jobs in associated industries throughout the country**. Over the past year WIZZ has achieved many remarkable milestones in Romania, including opening its seventh Romanian base in Sibiu and starting operations from Suceava, the ninth Romanian airport in its network, reaching 45 million passengers carried on Romanian routes – meaning Wizz has carried the whole of Romania, twice, delivering the first two A321 aircraft to its Bucharest base and continuing to democratize Romanian air travel with WIZZ’s first domestic route connecting Bucharest with Cluj-Napoca.

Demonstrating WIZZ’s dedication to its Romanian customers the airline is continuously investing in its Romanian operations and will grow its fleet in the country to 20 aircraft by the end of 2016, including 4 of the ultra-efficient brand new 230-seat Airbus A321. Throughout 2016 WIZZ has already announced and will start 27 new routes connecting Romania with the rest of Europe, and over the past 12 months carried more than 5 million passengers to and from Romania.

Tamara Vallois, Head of Communications at Wizz Air said: “As Romania’s biggest airline we are delighted to see our website fully implemented on all platforms as it reflects the innovation that WIZZ has delivered since its first flight from Romania in 2007. Wizz Air is listening to its passengers and making booking flights even easier – the new Express Booking function is revolutionary and allows bookings at WIZZ’s low fares to be made in just three clicks within 30 seconds. With the network expansion and technological development WIZZ is rapidly becoming a love brand in Romania – of our 800,000 Facebook fans, the biggest population of over 110,000 are Romanian and we hope to see our fan base grow even further in the future.”
