Wi-Fi Service at Chicago’s Airports Now Available for Half-Price

CHICAGO, 2012-08-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — Great news for O’Hare and Midway travelers! The fast and secure Wi-Fi service for passengers at O’Hare and Midway International Airports is currently available at a reduced rate of $3.48 for 24-hour, unlimited Internet access through a special offer sponsored by Google.

“We are very pleased to partner with Google and Boingo to offer Wi-Fi service for O’Hare and Midway travelers at a reduced rate,” said Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “This offer comes as a result of our efforts to work with service providers so we can offer a better experience for our airport customers. We will continue to explore opportunities to offer Wi-Fi service at reduced rates, or at no cost, for travelers using Chicago’s airports.”To get the special rate, which is half the cost of the regular $6.95 fee for Wi-Fi service provided by Boingo at Chicago’s airports, users simply need to first watch a 30-second video sponsored by Google.

Google is offsetting the cost of this special offer period by reimbursing Boingo, which provides Wi-Fi service at O’Hare and Midway. In this way, revenue to the airports from Wi-Fi service will be maintained.

The half-price offer for Wi-Fi will run through October 15, 2012.
