Vancouver International Airport welcomes Lynx Air services to ten destinations across Canada

Richmond, B.C., 2022-Apr-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Vancouver International Airport is thrilled to be the first Canadian airport to welcome a Lynx Air (Lynx) commercial flight today (APRIL 7, 2022). Canada’s new ultra-affordable airline departed Calgary at 11:15 a.m. and arrived safely at Vancouver International Airport at 11:51 a.m..

Lynx is currently offering service to ten destinations across Canada, including Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Toronto, Halifax and St. John’s. Lynx’s fleet is comprised of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, each carrying up to 189 passengers. Lynx has firm orders and lease agreements in place for a total of 46 aircraft over the next seven years.The aircraft was welcomed at Vancouver International Airport by members of Musqueam Indian Band and YVR President and CEO Tamara Vrooman.

By the end of May, Lynx Air will be flying 50 flights per week in and out of Vancouver, which is more than 9,400 seats.
