Strong demand for the all-new Volvo XC90 fueled partnership between Volvo Cars of North America and Enterprise Rent-A-Car

ST. LOUIS, 2015-6-8 — /Travel PR News/ — Customer demand for the all-new Volvo XC90 has fueled a partnership between Volvo Cars of North America and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Customers who have a car lease or loan expiring before their all-new XC90 arrives are eligible to rent a Volvo-subsidized new Volvo XC60 from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

“Customers are excited about the XC90, and we are happy to accommodate them while they await their all-new XC90,” said North Holbrook, Manager of Commercial Sales, Volvo Cars of North America. “Our partnership with Enterprise Rent-A-Car is all about providing convenience to our customers.”

Thirty-thousand XC90s, more than half of the first year’s projected sales, were sold globally ahead of the car’s official launch.

“Through this partnership, we’re able to help Volvo’s customers get behind the wheel of another Volvo vehicle while they wait for their new car,” said Susan Lombardo, Senior Vice President of Vehicle Acquisition, Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “We look forward to delivering an exceptional car rental experience to these new Volvo customers.”

As part of the program, Enterprise will purchase the XC60 vehicles from local Volvo dealerships and will sell them back to those dealers after approximately six months.

Interested customers can reserve their Enterprise rental directly from their local Volvo dealership when they pre-order the XC90. When their new vehicle arrives, an Enterprise employee will take the customer to the Volvo dealership to pick up the car.

The new XC90 is a visually striking, premium quality seven-seat SUV. It offers world-leading safety features, new powertrain technologies, an unrivalled combination of power and fuel efficiency, and a luxurious interior finish.

Through more than 5,500 fully staffed offices within 15 miles of 90 percent of the U.S. population, Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s extensive neighborhood and airport network is uniquely positioned to provide consumers with unmatched access to new vehicles and automotive technologies. Each month, millions of “test drives” take place in Enterprise’s rental vehicles, giving manufacturers the opportunity to expose the latest and greatest features to a wide range of consumers.
