Transavia Entertainment App allows passengers to download films and series on their own mobile or tablet and watch them during their flight

Schiphol, 2015-6-8 — /Travel PR News/ — Transavia offers its onboard entertainment through the Transavia Entertainment App that is now available to all passengers, including those who book via a tour operator. The app allows passengers to download films and series on their own mobile or tablet and watch them during their flight. The app is available for iOS and Android and is temporarily free!

“The development of the Entertainment App contributes to Transavia’s ambition to be the number 1 low-cost airline in Europe – one that is accessible and affordable for everyone,” states Commercial Director of Transavia, Roy Scheerder. “We also prioritise hospitality, passenger experience and smart digital solutions. Good onboard entertainment enhances the passenger experience. Transavia is now making that experience highly personal, thanks to the latest digital possibilities.”

The transition from the old system of screens to this modern, digital form of inflight entertainment also means that Transavia will be saving on weight, thus making its fleet more efficient and sustainable.

Each passenger can use the Transavia Entertainment App to download films and TV series on their own smartphone or tablet. These will then be available to watch during the flight. Transavia is thus offering the customer the very best onboard entertainment experience. The Transavia Entertainment App grants access to more than hundred of films and TV series, from comedy, drama and action films to children’s films and classics: all tastes are catered for and the choice of films and series is updated regularly. There is a direct link to the app on the Transavia website and in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The passenger can simply download the app on their own device and then log in with their booking number and last name. Each passenger is allowed five downloads before departure. The paid version of the entertainment app will be €3 per person one way. The passenger pays for access to the app, no matter how many films he or she downloads (up to 5).

The Entertainment App is available in Dutch, French, English, Spanish and Italian and will soon be available in Portuguese as well.
