Steigenberger Hotel Group launches “China Selection” scheme to meet Chinese guests’ needs

“China Selection” will be launched in 26 hotels to mark Chinese National Day

FRANKFURT, GERMANY, 2016-Sep-15 — /Travel PR News/ — Guests from China staying at hotels in the Steigenberger Hotel Group will be able to enjoy a special service from 1 October. 26 of the hotels operating under the Steigenberger und IntercityHotel brands will be providing services specially tailored to meet the needs of Chinese guests as part of a new “China Selection” scheme. Guests will be able to look forward to benefits such as receiving a welcome card in Chinese at reception and being able to watch a Chinese TV channel in their room. The restaurants at the participating hotels will be serving up carefully chosen range of food and beverages.  The “Unionpay” Card, the most popular means of payment in the People’s Republic, will also be accepted for the first time.

The Steigenberger Hotel Group is the first German hotel operator to introduce such a comprehensive programme. Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG, is seeking to use the focus on this target group as a vehicle for tapping even more effectively into the potential offered by the Chinese market. “Our excellent locations and the extensive services we provide at our hotels are already producing a great response from our Chinese guests. We have launched ‘China Selection’ in order to send out an even stronger signal to individual guests and business travellers that a warm welcome will be extended to them.”

Appropriately, the start of the programme will coincide with the Chinese National Holiday, celebrated each year on 1 October. China Selection will initially be on offer at 15 hotels operating under the Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts brand and at eleven IntercityHotels. The following participating hotels will feature a “China Selection” symbol on their website for instant recognition and will also have their own Chinese language introductory pages:
