Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – 2012-12-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — RAK Airways, one of the youngest flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates is the only airline participant at the AWAFI festival in Ras Al Khaimah.

The festival began on 14 December and will continue to be the highest attraction in Ras Al Khaimah until January 5, 2013.

H.E. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Qaid Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Economic Department, Government of Ras Al Khaimah, along with high-level officials inaugurated the airline’s stand at the festival.

One of the highlights at RAK Airways stand on the opening day of the event was to award Etihad tickets to the airline’s code share fans.

Over 17 winners were awarded Etihad tickets, based on online competitions and mall events initiated by RAK Airways to promote its recent codeshare with fellow UAE carrier Etihad Airways.

RAK Airways’ presence during the three weeks of AWAFI Festival will continue to attract visitors as the airline plans daily raffle draw at its stand.

John Brayford, CEO of RAK Airways said, ‘RAK Airways will give away two free tickets, to Abu Dhabi, each day’.
