Qatar Duty Free with L’Oréal Luxe create exclusive pop-up store for passengers travelling through Hamad International Airport (HIA)

“When East Meets West” concept showcases fragrances from five different perfume houses in an exclusive and interactive environment

DOHA, Qatar, 2015-8-6 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Duty Free (QDF), in conjunction with L’Oréal Luxe, has created an exclusive pop-up experience for passengers travelling through Hamad International Airport (HIA) this summer.

Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, and Viktor & Rolf will showcase their oriental and occidental style fragrances housed within different areas of the East Meets West installation, which is situated in the main atrium of Hamad International Airport (HIA). This strategic location in the airport’s departures concourse will make the exhibition a focal point for all passengers departing from or transferring through Doha. The exquisite sensory journey is built around an area of peace and relaxation directly inspired by the shape of the Fountain of Doha Museum of Islamic Art.

“We are delighted to reveal this innovative new retail concept at Qatar Duty Free this summer,” said Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President, Keith Hunter. “It is a privilege to work in partnership with L’Oréal to bring this fresh new pop-up shop concept to Hamad International Airport, and we look forward to our customers enjoying the amazing selection of fragrances on offer from some of the world’s most popular perfume houses.”

Each fragrance brings a unique flavour to its own area within the pop-up installation. At the Giorgio Armani “house” passengers will be enticed by the warm and rich décor complemented with pieces from its Armani Privé 2015 Fashion Edition “Sable or” and Sable fumé”, alongside its best-selling fragrances Acqua di Gio and Si.

The “house” of Yves Saint Laurent invites passengers on a journey from heritage to modernity with fashion pieces from its Oriental Collection and its fragrance Black Opium, while Lancôme showcases its new Oud Bouquet fragrance alongside the timeless Trésor and another new addition, Trésor Nuit.

Viktor & Rolf, who share a “house” with Ralph Lauren, will showcase the 10th anniversary edition of their hit fragrance Flowerbomb called Flowerbomb Rose Explosion, while Ralph Lauren offer passengers the chance to try two new releases: Polo Suprême Oud and Polo Red Intense.

The pop-up shop also offers a unique bottle engraving service giving passengers the opportunity to have their name or a message engraved on the fragrance they buy.

At HIA. QDF offers 40,000 square metres of combined retail, food and beverage facilities, establishing the retailer as a premier shopping and dining destination. With more than 70 retail outlets offering an unprecedented selection of designer labels, fashion, electronics, gourmet foods and much more, Qatar Duty Free at HIA caters to all passengers’ tastes. In addition, more than 30 cafés and restaurants offer a sumptuous selection of global and local cuisine.
