(IN SHORT) Qatar Airways has entered into a partnership with the UEFA Champions League, becoming the official airline partner until 2030. This partnership builds on the airline’s previous collaborations with UEFA for EURO 2020 and EURO 2024. The deal also extends to other Qatar Airways Group entities, offering exclusive promotions and travel packages for football fans. The airline aims to strengthen its European presence and connect with global football fans through its extensive network of over 170 destinations. To celebrate, Qatar Airways launched a promotional campaign featuring football legends and influencers.
(PRESS RELEASE) Doha, Qatar, 2024-Sep-19— /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Airways has announced a major new partnership with the UEFA Champions League, becoming the official airline partner for the prestigious football competition until 2030. Building on its previous collaborations with UEFA for EURO 2020 and EURO 2024, this new deal further strengthens Qatar Airways’ presence in European football and extends its reach into various UEFA tournaments, including the UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League, and UEFA Futsal Champions League.
Renowned for its global influence and thrilling matchups, the UEFA Champions League attracts millions of fans worldwide and embodies values such as excellence, unity, and perseverance—principles that align with Qatar Airways’ own mission. With the league’s new 36-team format, Qatar Airways, which serves more than 50 European destinations via its hub at Hamad International Airport, aims to enhance the travel experience for football fans across the globe, showcasing its commitment to world-class service.
The partnership also extends to other parts of Qatar Airways Group, including Qatar Duty Free, Hamad International Airport, and the Qatar Airways Privilege Club, offering a more comprehensive collaboration. As part of the celebration, Privilege Club members and UEFA fans will benefit from up to 12% discounts on flights, exclusive ticket promotions, and tailor-made travel packages designed around the UEFA Champions League.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. To mark the partnership, Qatar Airways launched a star-studded promotional video featuring Brazilian football legend Ricardo Kaka, English football star Rio Ferdinand, football journalist Fabrizio Romano, and Paris Saint-Germain Féminines player Sakina Karchaoui, adding a touch of glamour to the announcement.
This deal adds to Qatar Airways’ already expansive sponsorship portfolio, which includes partnerships with FIFA, AFC, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Formula 1®, among others, showcasing its dedication to connecting sports fans across the globe.
