Pia Aaltonen-Forsell to Join Finnair as CFO, Bringing Extensive Financial Expertise

(PRESS RELEASE) VANTAA, 2025-May-5 — /Travel PR News/ — Finnair has announced the appointment of Pia Aaltonen-Forsell, M. Soc.Sc. (Econ.), MBA, as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Executive Board, effective 1 August 2025. Aaltonen-Forsell will begin her role at Finnair on 15 June 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience in financial leadership across multiple industries.
Aaltonen-Forsell joins Finnair from Northvolt, where she served as CFO. Her previous roles include CFO positions at Outokumpu and Alhström-Munksjö, giving her a broad and deep understanding of financial operations in large, international companies. In addition to her corporate roles, Aaltonen-Forsell is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee at UPM-Kymmene Corporation.

In February 2025, Finnair announced that its current CFO, Kristian Pullola, would be stepping down from the position by August 2025.
