PASSENGER NUMBERS SOAR ON EASYJET’S BUSIEST DAY

2012-08-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — easyJet, the UK’s largest airline has announced that a record breaking number of passengers will be boarding its aircraft today.

Over 200,000 passengers will be flying easyJet on its busiest day of the year so far as they head to popular destinations such as Faro, Barcelona and Milan.

As the night’s draw in and the Autumn approaches, those in search of sunshine, relaxation or City breaks are leaving the Bank Holiday downpour behind and taking advantage of easyJet’s low fares, regular flights and extensive route network to make the most of the last Bank Holiday before Christmas.

Paul Simmons, easyJet UK Director commented;

“We’re thrilled to be flying our highest number of passengers so far this year, today. We’re delivering on our promises to make travel easy and affordable and almost a quarter of a million customers are benefitting by flying easyJet today.

The strong success of our routes to destinations such as Milan is testament to this.  We’ve seen a 20% increase in passenger numbers to the city compared to the same day last year and we are sure that we’ll continue to see strong growth into the Winter.”
