Sake Day is October 1; events continue all week.
Baltimore, U.S.A., 2012-09-21 — /travelprnews.com/ — October 1, 2012 is International Sake Day, and the team at PABU is celebrating with a full week of sake events at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore. Every evening will be devoted to a different sake varietal, and in-house Sake Sommeliers will host complimentary tastings to educate, and spur conversation and general appreciation for this beloved Japanese spirit. Tuesday, October 2
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Complimentary sake happy hour: “Differences in Designations: Junmai, Honjozoz, Ginjo, & Daiginjo”
Wednesday, October 3
- 10:00 – 11:30 am – Hospitality Sake Class open to industry professionals
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Complimentary sake happy hour: “Ginjo Variations”
Thursday, October 4
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Complimentary sake happy hour: “Niigata Style Sakes (featuring Kubota)”
- 6:00 pm – An intimate five-course Kubota dinner featuring the VP of Asahi Brewery from Japan. Dinner includes a special five course menu with sake pairings, guest lecturer and takeaway gifts for each guest. Price is USD 95.00 per guest, with a portion of proceeds to be donated to Global Giving, a Japan Relief Fund.
Friday, October 5
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Complimentary sake happy hour: “Namazakes”
Saturday, October 6
- 6:00 – 7:00 pm – Complimentary sake happy hour: “Daiginjo Variations”
- 10:00 pm – close – Special Reverse Happy Hour featuring sake.
