Oman Air’s Sales Teams Gather in Muscat

2012-10-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — Oman Air’s international sales teams gathered at the airline’s Muscat base recently for a series of meetings which reviewed progress over the course of 2012 and agreed targets for future activity, particularly during the peak winter tourism period.

The meetings took place between 30th September and 8th October and were held at The Golden Tulip hotel, near Oman Air’s headquarters.

The teams – drawn from the Europe, Asia Pacific, Gulf, Middle East and Africa regions – have achieved good results to date and their insights into individual markets around the world have been invaluable for the advancement of ongoing sales strategies.

Welcoming the sales teams to Muscat, Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Pearce said:

“Our sales teams play a vital role in maintaining and further developing Oman Air’s success and I am pleased that they could join us in Muscat for these vital meetings. The meetings are a great opportunity for our people to come together and discuss progress on key initiatives and exchange ideas with other colleagues”.

Mr Pearce addressed the sales professionals, providing an overview of Oman Air’s recent developments and future strategies, before colleagues from the airline’s Commercial department moved the agenda forward.

The teams were also addressed by Oman Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, Abdulrazaq Al Raisi, who added:

“I am extremely pleased with the work undertaken by our teams in meeting the different targets that we have set for 2012. Of particular note is the progress made in improving sales through our website, www.omanair.com, and the increased focus on promotional activities aimed at expanding inbound tourism to Oman. We are confident that the activities undertaken so far will continue to be reflected in increased visitor numbers  as we approach the peak winter tourism period.”
