(IN SHORT) Minor Hotels has signed an agreement with Swami India Ghana Limited to develop NH Collection Accra, a 200-room upscale hotel scheduled to open in 2030 as part of a mixed-use complex in central Accra. The project will introduce the NH Collection brand to Ghana for the first time and reflects Minor Hotels’ strategy to expand across major African gateway cities. Located near government and diplomatic districts and close to Kotoka International Airport, the hotel is expected to serve corporate, diplomatic and long-stay travellers while supporting Accra’s growing role as a regional business hub.

(PRESS RELEASE) BANGKOK, Thailand, 2026-Feb-24 — /Travel PR News/ — Minor Hotels has announced plans to introduce the NH Collection brand to Ghana with the signing of NH Collection Accra, a new upscale hotel scheduled to open in 2030. The agreement, formalised during THINC Middle East 2026, reflects the group’s strategy of expanding its presence in key African gateway cities and strengthening its footprint across emerging hospitality markets.

The future hotel will be located in central Accra, Ghana’s capital and main commercial centre, within a new mixed-use development designed to integrate hospitality, office and retail space. The project will offer convenient access to government institutions, corporate headquarters and diplomatic missions, including the nearby Jubilee House, and will be within easy reach of Kotoka International Airport.

NH Collection Accra will feature 200 guest rooms and is intended to serve a broad mix of international and regional travellers, including business visitors, diplomatic guests and long-stay customers. The property will combine modern design with premium comfort standards in line with the NH Collection brand’s positioning, supporting Accra’s continued growth as a regional business and travel hub.

The development is being undertaken by Swami India Ghana Limited, a real estate company with experience across West Africa and the Middle East. The integrated project is planned as a dynamic urban destination that combines hospitality with commercial activity.

Amir Golbarg, Chief Operations Officer for Minor Hotels in the Middle East and Africa, noted that Ghana represents an important growth opportunity for the group and highlighted the significance of launching the NH Collection brand in the country through the partnership with Swami India Ghana Limited.

Dinesh G. Gorasiya, Chairman of Swami India Ghana Limited, described the agreement as a key step in the company’s development strategy, emphasizing its focus on delivering internationally aligned hospitality projects that support economic development. The project is expected to strengthen Accra’s position as a destination for both business and leisure travel while contributing to the city’s evolving hospitality landscape.
