(PRESS RELEASE) HONG KONG, 2026-Mar-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London has introduced a new outdoor experience designed to bring seasonal flavours and visual elegance to Hanover Square with the launch of its Cake Cart. Positioned daily outside the hotel’s entrance, the cart will offer a rotating selection of handcrafted cakes inspired by seasonal events and cultural moments throughout the year.

The concept is designed to give both hotel guests and visitors passing through Mayfair an opportunity to enjoy artisanal pastries in a casual and inviting setting. Each month, the hotel’s pastry team will present new cake creations reflecting key events on London’s cultural calendar, such as the Chelsea Flower Show, Wimbledon, Easter celebrations, and the festive holiday season.

The Cake Cart experience has been carefully designed with a distinctive aesthetic centered on Celadon Green, a signature color developed by Mandarin Oriental in collaboration with the Pantone Colour Institute. The elegant shade draws inspiration from traditional celadon ceramics and modern design principles, representing balance, calmness, and refined craftsmanship.

Celadon Green serves as the defining visual element of the Cake Cart concept. The color is featured throughout the cart’s design, including its exterior finish and the specially created cake packaging used for the pastries. The soft green tone provides a refined backdrop that highlights the seasonal cake displays while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to understated elegance and design.

Hemal Jain, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London, said the initiative reflects the hotel’s desire to create welcoming experiences that connect with the local community as well as international visitors. Located at the entrance of the hotel on Hanover Square, the Cake Cart offers a small but memorable way for people to engage with the property and experience its culinary craftsmanship.

The cake menu will change regularly, with each selection designed to reflect seasonal ingredients and storytelling through pastry. Guests can expect creations inspired by floral themes during spring, classic British flavours during the Wimbledon season, and richer spiced desserts during winter celebrations.

Prepared by the hotel’s pastry specialists using premium ingredients, the cakes aim to capture the spirit of each season while showcasing the artistry and attention to detail associated with Mandarin Oriental’s culinary offerings.

By combining seasonal creativity with a distinctive visual identity, the Cake Cart adds a new dimension to the hotel’s presence in Mayfair, offering a simple yet refined experience that celebrates both local culture and artisanal baking.
