Metrolink will offer more service than in previous years on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29

Metrolink will provide service regularly available on Sundays

LOS ANGELES, 2017-May-23 — /Travel PR News/ — On Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, Metrolink will offer more service than in previous years so Southern Californians can leave their cars at home and take a relaxing train ride.

Metrolink will offer train schedules regularly available on Sundays.

The schedule includes service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County lines.

Trains will not operate on the Ventura County Line, nor the Riverside Line. Trains will also not travel to or from the four stations on the 91/Perris Valley Line extension. In past years, the agency has traditionally only operated limited service on one or two lines on Memorial Day.

Southern California residents can take a relaxing ride on Metrolink to beach attractions or to Los Angeles Union Station and transfer at no additional cost to Metro’s light rail and subway system. Passengers can spend the rest of the day visiting popular destinations and attractions in Downtown L.A. and Hollywood. Destinations include:

·      Olvera Street

·      Chinatown

·      Disney Concert Hall

·      Hollywood Walk of Fame and attractions

·      Universal Studios

·      Madame Tussauds (wax attractions) in Hollywood

·      L.A. LIVE (The GRAMMY® Museum, restaurants, Regal Theaters)

Metrolink will operate its normal schedule on Friday, May 26 through Sunday, May 28 on all lines. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, May 30.

On Memorial Day, regular Monday fares will apply.
