Marriott Bonvoy is also offering fans the chance to redeem loyalty points for a special Women’s Final Four experience through its 1-Point Drop promotion and participate in sweepstakes for future tournament tickets. The broader marketing campaign includes television and digital content featuring athletes and sports personalities and highlights Marriott Bonvoy’s role as the official hotel partner of the NCAA and U.S. Soccer Federation.

(PRESS RELEASE) BETHESDA, MD, 2026-Mar-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new campaign celebrating the experiences surrounding major sporting events, giving fans opportunities to connect with college basketball’s biggest moments during NCAA March Madness. The initiative, titled “Where Gameday Checks In,” highlights how travel and sport intersect, focusing on the memorable moments that occur before, during, and after the game.

The campaign includes a range of fan-focused activations, such as a new limited podcast series, exclusive sweepstakes opportunities, and special travel experiences linked to the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Four tournaments.

Central to the campaign is “Live From the Bracket,” a special podcast series created in partnership with the Show Me Something podcast. Hosted by professional basketball player Sophie Cunningham and sports journalist West Wilson, the series will explore the culture of sports travel through conversations with athletes, fans, and families. The episodes will reflect on the traditions, emotions, and experiences that accompany major sporting events and remain meaningful long after the final whistle.

The limited series will debut on March 24 and will be distributed across multiple digital platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. The opening episode will be recorded at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, where a large bracket installation will serve as a centerpiece during the tournament, allowing fans to follow the progression of March Madness in real time.

The hosts will return to the same venue during the Men’s Final Four weekend in Indianapolis, concluding the series against one of the most recognizable visual symbols of the college basketball tournament.

Marriott Bonvoy is also giving its loyalty members an opportunity to participate in the excitement of the Women’s Final Four through a special “1-Point Drop” experience launching March 16. Through Marriott Bonvoy Moments, members can redeem a single loyalty point for the chance to win¹ a unique Final Four travel package.

The experience includes a four-night stay at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, suite tickets to the NCAA Women’s Final Four, and VIP seating at a live recording of a Live From the Bracket episode taking place in Phoenix. Members can earn the required loyalty points through hotel stays or everyday activities such as credit card purchases, rideshare services, and dining.

In addition, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a sweepstakes beginning March 20 by engaging with Live From the Bracket content on social media. Participants will have the chance to win tickets to the 2026 Men’s Final Four or to both the Men’s and Women’s Final Four tournaments in 2027.

Mandy Gill, Managing Vice President for Brands, Marketing and Digital in the United States and Canada at Marriott International, said the campaign reflects the idea that the most meaningful sports memories often occur outside the game itself. She emphasized that travel and sports share a unique connection, bringing together athletes, families, and fans through shared experiences that create lasting memories.

The broader campaign includes a series of television and digital advertisements highlighting the rituals and interactions that take place around sporting events. Filmed across various Marriott Bonvoy hotel brands, the spots depict athletes and fans preparing for competitions, celebrating victories, and enjoying the community atmosphere surrounding game day.

The campaign features appearances from several notable figures in sports, including UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma, UConn guard Azzi Fudd, rugby star Ilona Maher, U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team player Sam Coffey, and college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit. Other segments feature athletes from the University of Texas and the University of Oregon.

Developed in partnership with creative agency Wieden+Kennedy New York, the campaign’s commercials were directed by filmmakers Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, known for directing the award-winning film Little Miss Sunshine.

The cross-channel marketing initiative began on March 1 with in-stadium promotion during the SheBelieves Cup and will continue with social and digital activations across platforms including Meta and TikTok beginning March 10. The campaign’s broadcast spots will run during NCAA March Madness and U.S. Soccer matches throughout the year.

Marriott Bonvoy, the official hotel partner of both the NCAA and the U.S. Soccer Federation³, says the campaign aims to celebrate the role travel plays in the sporting experience while offering fans opportunities to create new memories around major events.

Fans interested in participating can follow Marriott Bonvoy and Show Me Something on social media or visit the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform for more details about available experiences throughout the tournament.
