London City Airport Staff raised money on cycle charity event for Richard House Children’s Hospice

2013-07-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — A team of 40 employees and partners from London City Airport have completed a charity cycle challenge from London to Amsterdam.  The group cycled 166 miles in two days and have raised £25,000 for Richard House Children’s Hospice in East London.

Declan Collier, CEO, London City Airport said:  “I am extremely proud of everyone who took part in this tough challenge.  The team spirit was fantastic and it’s a wonderful achievement to have made it to the finish line, raising so much money for this deserving charity.  Thank you to everyone who sponsored us.”

Stephen Timms MP was amongst the cyclists.  Each rider raised funds through friends and family, while generous donations were also received from corporate partners, including Aelia Duty Free and British Airways.

The money was raised for Richard House Children’s Hospice, which provides care for children and young people suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
