Chicago, IL, 2018-Aug-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Lincoln Park Zoo’s 24th annual ZooLights Presented by ComEd and Invesco QQQ returns Friday, Nov. 23. In addition to the ongoing light displays, guests can attend several special events throughout the season (please note: only ticket holders may enter the zoo on special event nights): Members-Only Night (Nov.16, join at lpzoo.org/membership), Holiday Market (Nov. 27), Adults Night Out: Holidaze (Nov. 29), BrewLights (Dec. 6) and Chris White Trio Tribute to “A Charlie Brown Christmas”(Dec. 9). NEW this year is Breakfast with Santa (Dec.16) at Café Brauer.

ZOOLIGHTS IS FREE ENTRY

A Chicago holiday tradition that helps keep Lincoln Park Zoo free and open 365 days a year, ZooLights Presented by ComEd and Invesco QQQ illuminates the zoo with more than 2.5 million lights and hundreds of dynamic displays. This FREE event transforms Lincoln Park Zoo into a twinkling winter wonderland for 35 nights complete with visits from Santa, ice sculptors, carolers, festive activities and sweet treats of all kinds. ZooLights runs from 4:30 to 9 p.m. It takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights Nov. 23 – 25 and Nov. 30 – Dec. 2, and then nightly Dec. 7 through Jan. 6 (excluding Dec. 24 and 25). ZooLights is also sponsored by Pepsi.

ZooLights Family Nights are back by popular demand Mondays, Dec. 10, 17 and 31. These fun-filled evenings include all regular ZooLights activities along with FREE rides on the AT&T Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure for families with children. On these nights, kids also eat FREE at Park Place Café (one free limited kid’s menu item with paid adult entrée or combo meal). Lincoln Park Zoo members of all levels can enjoy free parking on Family Nights too.

TICKETED HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

Light Maze Presented by Invesco QQQ takes guests on an enlightening journey! Guests can get lost in a maze of 30,000 lightbulbs at Foreman Pavilion. This ticketed experience returns to the zoo for a second year and will run every night of ZooLights.

Members-Only Night on Nov. 16 from 4:30 to 9 p.m. offers Lincoln Park Zoo members an exclusive preview of ZooLights before it opens to the public! Members will enjoy Lionel Train Adventure, AT&T Endangered Species Carousel and Light Maze free of charge. Holiday Market returns for its third year on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Jumpstart your holiday shopping against the backdrop of 2.5 million light by browsing through treasures from local artisans and crafters. Entry is $10 ($8 for Lincoln Park Zoo members). Stay updated at lpzoo.org/holiday-market.

The fourth annual Adults Night Out: Holidaze on Nov. 29 gives adults exclusive entry to the zoo after hours. Come for the 2.5 million holiday lights, stay for the Gnome Hunt, plus dazzling displays, holiday activities, zoo-themed trivia, music, cash bars, and expert animal chats. The event takes place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $15 ($12 for Lincoln Park Zoo members). Food, beer and wine (for those ages 21+) are available for purchase. Support Chicago’s free zoo with a craft brew at the fifth annual BrewLights hosted by the Auxiliary Board of Lincoln Park Zoo on Dec. 6! From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. guests will forage for local craft, seasonal and import beers amidst the dazzle of ZooLights. All proceeds go toward the Auxiliary Board’s commitment to support Lincoln Park Zoo’s The Pride of Chicagocampaign. Additional sponsors of the event include all participating breweries. Tickets will be available for purchase at lpzoo.org/brewlights at the end of August. Designated driver tickets are available. Food will also be available for purchase throughout the evening. BrewLights is exclusively for guests 21 years and older.

The Chris White Trio Tribute to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” is back for an encore! Guests will tap their toes and even sing along during this soulful jazz tribute to a holiday classic. The event runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 9 at Café Brauer with tickets beginning at $25. Make this your new holiday tradition. Visit lpzoo.org/events for more information.

NEW this year, enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the landmark Café Brauer. Guests will savor a delicious brunch looking out at the zoo’s Nature Boardwalk with the big man in red himself. There will be four seatings starting at 9 a.m. Adults (age 14 and older) are $45, children (ages one to 12) are $20 and tiny tots (12 months and younger) are free. All children will enjoy a complementary cookie decoration station.

New Year NEW EVENT: Zoo Year’s Eve is an adults-only New Year’s Eve celebration! Ring in the New Year with DJ entertainment, games and giveaways in the glow of ZooLights! Food and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. The event runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Early-bird tickets begin at $15. Learn more at lpzoo.org/events.
