Leeds, UK, 2014-1-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) today celebrated the launch of Eastern Airways’ scheduled services to Southampton, by offering passengers complimentary breakfast and champagne in the airport’s award winning Yorkshire Premier Lounge.
Aimed primarily at business travellers, Eastern Airways will operate three flights each weekday to Southampton as well as a Sunday service delivering a high frequency air service allowing easy access to and from Leeds, avoiding the need for a lengthy car or rail journey.
A convenient early morning weekday departure from Leeds Bradford at 6.50am allows for a full day in Southampton before returning back to Yorkshire just after 5.00pm or 7.40pm on the same day. Two further weekday services will depart LBA at 10.20am and 17.10pm. Sunday services leave Leeds Bradford at 4.15pm returning from Southampton at 5.45pm.
A dedicated fast track security channel is offered at both Leeds Bradford and Southampton airports for all Eastern Airways passengers to avoid queues at security search. This allows the airline to close check-in just 30 minutes before the departure time. Complimentary drinks and snacks are offered on board the aircraft and passengers are not charged for check-in, baggage or choice of seat.
Yorkshire has strong business links with Hampshire, particularly in the finance, insurance, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, IT, manufacturing and construction industries and this important air route will also encourage cruise passengers to consider flying to the world class port of Southampton to commence their holiday.

Eastern Airways has been operating scheduled flights from Leeds Bradford for over 10 years, and in addition to the new services to Southampton, Eastern Airways offers up to three daily weekday services from LBA to Aberdeen.
