The latest signings encompass a diverse range of IHG brand collections, spanning both luxury and lifestyle segments. Among the highlights are the introduction of Kimpton Lisbon, Hotel Indigo Albufeira, and Hotel Indigo Faro, representing IHG’s luxury and lifestyle offerings in Portugal. Additionally, the Essentials Collection, comprising Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands, welcomes six new signings, including suites offerings, catering to a broad spectrum of travelers’ preferences.

This expansion includes notable brand debuts such as Vignette Collection Casa da Companhia and Vignette Collection Lisbon Convent Square, in addition to the signing of Kimpton Algarve São Rafael Atlántico, scheduled to open its doors in 2025.

The Essentials Collection signings encompass four Holiday Inn Express properties, each offering essential amenities tailored for a comfortable and convenient stay. These include complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, and the Express Start Breakfast, catering to guests seeking a seamless travel experience.

Among the new signings are:

  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lisbon – Amoreiras: Located in Amoreiras, this 192-room hotel, owned by Real Hotels Group, is set to open in early 2025, offering easy access to major city attractions and Lisbon’s financial district.
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Portimão: Situated in the Algarve, this 60-room hotel owned by Harland & Poston Group, will welcome guests in the first half of 2025, providing proximity to the marina and picturesque beaches.
  • Holiday Inn Express Porto – Boavista: Expected to open in the second half of 2024, this 91-room hotel, located in the vibrant Boavista neighborhood, offers convenient access to Porto’s city center, airport, and popular tourist destinations.
  • Holiday Inn Express Evora: Set to open in the latter half of 2024, this 76-room hotel, owned by Mercan Properties, is situated in the historic city of Evora, catering to both business and leisure travelers.

Additionally, IHG expands its Holiday Inn brand family in Portugal with the signings of:

  • Holiday Inn Braga: Owned by Soliteight Hotel Projects SA, this 114-room hotel, opening in the second half of 2024, provides an ideal base for guests to explore the city’s rich cultural heritage and summer festivals.
  • Holiday Inn Beja: Located within the medieval walls of Beja Castle, this 95-room hotel, owned by Mercan Properties, offers convenient access to the city center and major transportation routes, set to open in the latter half of 2024.

In the luxury and lifestyle segment, IHG celebrates the signings of:

  • Kimpton Lisbon: Scheduled to open in early 2026, this 141-room hotel will be the first Kimpton-branded property in Lisbon, offering a unique hospitality experience in close proximity to key tourist attractions.
  • Hotel Indigo Albufeira: Set to open in mid-2025, this 80-room hotel, developed in collaboration with Mercan Properties, will offer a vibrant and immersive experience in the popular tourist destination of Albufeira.
  • Hotel Indigo Faro: Anticipated to open in late 2026, this 127-room hotel, the fifth property signed with Mercan Properties, promises to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Faro, offering guests an unforgettable stay.
