Iberia Airport Services expands its customer portfolio with new handling contracts with Helvetic Airways and Swiss International
MADRID, 2015-5-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Iberia Airport Services continues to expand its customer portfolio.
Iberia’s handling division has just renewed its contract to serve Switzerland’s Helvetic Airways, which flies from Zurich and Berne to the Spanish islands of Gran Canaria, Majorca, and Minorca, with a total of some 200 flights per year.
From July to October Iberia Airport Services will also serve Swiss International’s flights at Santiago de Compostela, which begin to operate on 2 July and will add up to some 50 flights this year.
Iberia’s handling unit serves more than 200 airline customers, and in the past year has signed new contracts and renewed contracts with such important carriers as Lufthansa, whose flights it attends at Bilbao and Gran Canaria airports, and Aer Lingus, which it now serves at 14 Spanish airports, including Madrid and Alicante.
Iberia Airport Services has just been awarded licenses to provide ramp handling services to third-party carriers at the airports of Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Majorca, Malaga, Alicante, Asturias, Bilbao, Girona, Minorca, Reus, Santiago de Compostela, both airports in Tenerife, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Corunna, Leon, Pamplona, Santander, San Sebastian, Vigo, Vitoria, Albacete, Badajoz, Cordoba, Granada, Jerez, La Palma and Melilla.
Iberia Airport Services is Spain largest airport handling operator. In 2014 it attended more than 78 million passengers and nearly 330,000 aircraft.
