Gather Around the Kitchen Table at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

Park 75 invites diners to pull up a chair inside the kitchen

2012-10-11 — /travelprnews.com/ — Guests of Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta have enjoyed fabulous meals at Park 75 restaurant, or perhaps have ventured into the kitchen for the acclaimed Chef’s Table, but this fall Park 75 will issue ultimate insider’s invite. Executive Chef Robert Gerstenecker invites guests to lose the tie, grab some friends and pull up a seat at Park 75’s new Kitchen Table.

Every Thursday, starting October 11, 2012, 14 lucky diners will be welcomed into the kitchen at Park 75 for a five to seven-course family style dining experience. The evening will start, as every good evening should, with pre-dinner bubbles. After a toast with fellow guests, all will be ushered through Park 75 Restaurant and beyond, into the kitchen.

The evening will starts with rustic bread loaves and a sampling of dipping oils and flavoured salts. Accompanied by a glass of red or white wine from the jug on their table, one can glance at the chalkboard menu for a tease of what’s to come.

The menu will change weekly, but diners should expect to see global dishes inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients. For example, the evening might begin with the light, bright flavour of crudo of hamachi with yuzu dressing, or a sampling of the restaurant’s housemade salami, shaved and served with arugula and fig. Flavours progress to a salt-baked whole snapper, or Peking-style squab with Forbidden Rice and grilled kale. Expect a course or two from the pecan wood grill, perhaps kobe skirt steak with forest mushrooms, or calamari with fingerling potatoes, olives and burnt orange dressing. All guests will leave with nothing but sweet dreams after a taste of Pastry Chef Charles Barrett’s chocolate pâté or decadent éclairs.

Chef Gerstenecker explains, “The idea behind Kitchen Table is to allow our guests a peek at what it would be like to dine in our homes, to join the Park 75 family. The experience will be intimate and fun, with unique and flavourful food that we, as chefs, want to cook and eat.”

After a memorable meal and a glass or two of table wine, dining companions will have become new friends and discover the answer to the question, what does a chef cook for those lucky few gathered around their kitchen table?
