Jennifer will engage with guests, discussing her creative process and showcasing completed pieces available for purchase. Trefethen Vineyards’ wine will be served, chosen by Advanced Sommelier Anthony Geary. The event offers a unique blend of art, drinks, and conversation, reflecting the influence of St. Louis on Jennifer’s work.

(PRESS RELEASE) St. Louis, U.S.A., 2023-Nov-2 — /Travel PR News/ — On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, local St. Louis artist Jennifer Hayes will bring her easel, paints and brushes for a live painting event – A Canvas For Cocktails – in the cozy fireplace area of the eighth floor lobby at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  All are invited to watch as Jennifer’s creative process unfolds and fills the canvas with the vibrant, abstract style for which she is known. While enjoying special wine selections and the mixology talents of the Cinder House bar team, guests will be captivated watching her technique and discovering how colours merge to bring a blank canvas to life.

In addition to captivating and entertaining the audience with her live painting, Jennifer will engage guests by discussing her creative process and answering questions. Jennifer’s signature style involves layering multiple colours using an array of tools, including palette knives, brushes, and even unique found objects. Her goal is to craft artwork that catches the viewer’s eye from a distance with its bold and vibrant colours, while revealing fine, intricate details upon closer inspection. She takes deep satisfaction in creating works with multiple layers and layers of intrigue. Several of Jennifer’s completed pieces will be on display and available for purchase

Guests can order from Cinder Bar’s new slate of seasonal cocktails and enjoy special social hour wine selections from Trefethen Vineyards to sip while watching Jennifer paint. This Napa Valley vintner has won awards not only for its winemaking but also for its sustainable practices, and both its chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon will be served. Advanced Sommelier Anthony Geary selected the evening’s wine, while the bar team is headed by Supervisor India Stevens. Reservations at Cinder House restaurant are also available and recommended for those who wish to dine following the event.

As the Hotel’s artist partner, Jennifer Hayes’ painting are on display throughout the property, bringing a sense of joy and originality in each space they hang.  As a St. Louis resident, the city influences her work in many ways, from its complex urban nature to the dynamic confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Even eccentric downtown blues bars and the sounds of the nearby trains rolling can create an artistic spark on the canvas.
