Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta appoints Nancy Chacon as new General Manager

Atlanta, U.S.A, 2020-Jul-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta welcomes General Manager Nancy Chacon to the city’s leading hotel.

A nearly 30 year veteran with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Chacon’s invaluable experience and insights began in San Francisco as a front desk agent in 1991. Since then, she has proven her impact in a variety of roles at Four Seasons properties in Los Angeles; Austin; Scottsdale; Caracas, Venezuela; Punta Mita, Mexico; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and most recently, Baltimore, Maryland, where she served as Hotel Manager. Atlanta marks her eighth hotel with the company.

“I’m elated about my move to Atlanta, where I look forward to experiencing and delivering southern hospitality,” says Chacon. “As I settle into my role, my first priority is to assist our employees and guests with adjusting to travel during the COVID-19 pandemic.” Chacon will also oversee the renovation of the Hotel’s re-imagined meeting and event spaces, slated to be completed in fall 2020.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nancy’s promotion to General Manager is an opportunity to showcase the new Four Seasons global health and safety initiative, Lead With Care. The program allows all Four Seasons properties to access the latest information on the best way to implement sanitizers, masks, and elevated hygiene and cleaning standards so as to provide guests, residents and employees with the assurance that their health and safety is the company’s first priority.

A fluent trilingual (English, French and Spanish), Chacon hails from Guatemala City, Guatemala with an education in Economics and French from Mills College in Oakland, California. Her expertise in the hospitality world is an inspiring ride of success that she credits to her mother for giving her the gift of encouraging words and her father, who reinforced the importance of an education.

Her son, Joaquin, 8, has been her constant travel companion. Affectionately referred to as “Joaco,” she is thrilled to introduce him to the beautiful scenery that is all around the state of Georgia. Seeing the world through his eyes, and the conversations they have are one of her greatest joys in life.

Chacon replaces Yvette Thomas-Henry, who was promoted to Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Nevis.
