VIENNA, Austria, 2018-Apr-02 — /Travel PR News/ — The ruling on the 3rd Runway handed down by the Federal Administrative Court was delivered to Flughafen Wien AG a few minutes ago. Flughafen Wien AG welcomes the positive legal decision announced today by the Federal Administrative Court in favour of the 3rd Runway at Vienna Airport.
This represents a future-oriented step taken to strengthen Austria as a business and tourism location and provide attractive growth perspectives to Vienna as a flight hub.
The extensive legal requirements contained in the ruling now have to be evaluated with respect to their factual and legal basis. It also remains to be seen whether opponents of the project will challenge this decision before the highest courts. They have a deadline of six weeks to do so. In turn, these developments will determine the further time frame for the project. In any case, a decision to go ahead with construction of the 3rd Runaway is only possible when there is definite legal certainty.
