(PRESS RELEASE) MONTREAL, 2025-Jul-10 — /Travel PR News/ — The Air Canada Foundation celebrated its 13th Annual Golf Tournament at Club de golf Le Mirage in Terrebonne, Quebec, raising $1.3 million to support children and youth across Canada. This flagship fundraiser brought together 296 guests and over 90 sponsors—corporate partners, suppliers, and vendors—whose generosity fuels the Foundation’s annual grants, empowering equity-deserving communities and helping young Canadians reach their full potential.

“Every year, this tournament reminds me of what we can achieve when we unite around a common cause,” said Michael Rousseau, President and CEO of Air Canada. “Beyond tee times and new friendships, today is about rallying for children and youth. I’m grateful to everyone whose participation makes this event a success.”

Priscille LeBlanc, Chair of the Air Canada Foundation, added, “We applaud the remarkable generosity of our partners and volunteers. Their commitment transforms lives and underscores the impact we can have when we work together.”

In 2024 alone, the Foundation contributed $1.8 million to Canadian charities, providing roughly 900,000 meals—including vital support for Indigenous schools—and enhancing pediatric well-being through the Dr. Clown Foundation’s programs in communities like Manawan, Quebec. Since its inception in 2012, the Foundation has raised over $19 million for youth health and wellness initiatives nationwide.

Highlights of this year’s tournament included a piano performance by Air Canada’s Yoko Sawai, interactive moments with Dr. Clown Foundation artists, a lemonade stand by HEROS Hockey volunteers that netted over $12,000, and the debut “Plinko of Generosity” game—part of Autism Aviation Days—which donated nearly $15,000 to autism organizations.

Last month, the Foundation released its 2024 Impact Report, detailing achievements in programs, partnerships, fundraising, and employee engagement. Core initiatives include the Hospital Transportation Program, which redistributes Aeroplan points to 15 pediatric hospitals, and the Every Bit Counts campaign, inviting passengers to donate spare change onboard and in Maple Leaf Lounges.
