American Airlines Expands Latin America Network with Relaunch of Miami Caracas Flights Featuring Premium Cabin and Inflight Connectivity

(IN SHORT) American Airlines has opened ticket sales for its upcoming Miami–Caracas route, with service set to begin on April 30 using Embraer 175 aircraft operated by Envoy Air. The new flights will offer dual-class seating, onboard Wi-Fi, and in-seat power, providing a modern travel experience on the route. The launch marks the airline’s return to Venezuela after a suspension that began in 2019, restoring a direct connection that had been absent for more than six years. With convenient daily scheduling, the service is expected to support a variety of travel purposes, including business, leisure, and family visits, while strengthening connectivity between the United States and Venezuela. The move also reinforces American Airlines’ longstanding role as a major operator in Latin America and the Caribbean.

(PRESS RELEASE) FORT WORTH, Texas, 2026-Apr-20 — /Travel PR News/ — American Airlines has begun selling tickets for its newly announced service between Caracas, Venezuela (CCS) and Miami (MIA), with flights scheduled to commence on April 30. Customers can now book travel through the airline’s official website and mobile application, marking a key milestone in restoring air connectivity between the two markets.

The route will be operated by Envoy Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group. Flights will utilize the Embraer 175 aircraft, configured with dual cabins that include a premium seating option. The onboard experience is designed to enhance passenger comfort, featuring complimentary Wi-Fi sponsored by AT&T and in-seat power across the aircraft.

The daily schedule includes a morning departure from Miami at 10:16 a.m. Eastern Time, arriving in Caracas at 1:36 p.m. The return service departs Caracas at 2:40 p.m., landing in Miami at 6:13 p.m., providing a same-day round-trip option for travelers.

This service represents a significant step in reconnecting the United States and Venezuela following a prolonged suspension of flights that began in 2019 due to safety and regulatory concerns. American Airlines had previously maintained a strong presence in Venezuela since launching operations there in 1987 and was the leading U.S. carrier in the country prior to the suspension.

With the relaunch of the Miami–Caracas route, American Airlines is restoring a critical link that supports a wide range of travel needs, including business, family reunification, tourism, and humanitarian travel. The airline continues to play a major role in connecting destinations across the Caribbean and Latin America to the United States, reinforcing its position as a key gateway carrier in the region.
