(PRESS RELEASE) BETHESDA, MD, 2026-Apr-16 — /Travel PR News/ — The Luxury Collection has announced a new collaboration with Margherita Maccapani Missoni to celebrate Italian heritage and craftsmanship during Milan Design Week 2026. The partnership will be unveiled through an immersive retail pop-up and exclusive capsule collection at Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan from April 20 to 26.
The initiative, titled Maccapani Edits for The Luxury Collection, brings together fashion, artisanal traditions, and hospitality in a curated experience located at the hotel’s Living lounge. Timed to coincide with the citywide Fuorisalone programme, the collaboration highlights Milan’s position as a global design capital while honoring the brand’s 120-year legacy and its portfolio of over 130 hotels worldwide.
At the center of the experience is a co-branded capsule collection created specifically for The Luxury Collection. The collection includes signature pieces such as a Moto T-shirt inspired by the Horse of Saint Mark motif, a series of embroidered patches reflecting iconic Italian destinations within the brand’s portfolio, and a redesigned Casa Brera tote available in multiple variations. Select items will also be accessible through online platforms, extending the collaboration beyond the physical retail space.
In addition to the fashion collection, the pop-up will feature a carefully curated selection of Italian artisan products chosen by Margherita Maccapani Missoni. The display includes handcrafted items from notable makers such as Il Papiro, known for its marbled paper creations, Iacobella, a leather goods atelier, and ceramic artist Lucia Zamberletti. Other featured works include Murano glass pieces, jewelry, and decorative objects, showcasing the diversity and craftsmanship of Italian design traditions.
Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for The Luxury Collection, emphasized the importance of cultural storytelling in shaping guest experiences. He noted that the collaboration reflects the brand’s commitment to celebrating the unique identity of each destination while presenting it through a contemporary lens.
Margherita Maccapani Missoni described the project as an opportunity to explore and reinterpret Italy’s creative heritage, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design influences. She highlighted the role of artisans and local narratives in shaping the collection and the broader experience offered to visitors.
The collaboration also extends into experiential offerings for hotel guests. Through a Destination Discovery programme, visitors will be invited to explore Milan’s artisan workshops and creative studios, gaining behind-the-scenes insight into the city’s craft and design culture. These guided experiences aim to deepen engagement with the local creative community.
Open to the public throughout Milan Design Week, the pop-up at Casa Brera offers a unique intersection of retail, culture, and hospitality, reflecting The Luxury Collection’s broader vision of connecting travelers with authentic local experiences while celebrating global craftsmanship traditions.
