By offering 50% off 1-day lift tickets and sightsee tickets to all BC residents on February 8, 2016, Whistler Blackcomb will make it easier for the whole family to spend the day together outside in the mountains. Once on mountain, Whistler Blackcomb’s Family Day presented by Nintendo will offer kids of all ages a whole new world of free family fun for one day only. From 10am to 3pm guests are invited to the Wizard Grill, Rendezvous and Roundhouse Lodge to try their hand at playing Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and the all-new YO-KAI Watch on the new Nintendo 3DS XL. There will be free Nintendo character tattoos to take home, as well as the chance to win gaming prize packs. Popular Nintendo characters such as Jibanyan from the world of YO-KAI Watch, plus Mario and Luigi will be spending BC Family Day on the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb. Families should keep an eye out for them to take advantage of meet and greets and photo ops.
Family-friendly fun can be found year round at Whistler Blackcomb in programs such as Whistler Kids Snow School, the specially designed Nintendo Big Easy Terrain Garden, Family Zones and at the Enchanted Tree Fort and Magic Castle. Once the skis and boards come off, families can continue their escapades at the outdoor skating rink at Olympic Plaza and experience the thrill of the Coca-Cola® Tube Park. Families with kids are also welcome to après in restaurants and bars like the GLC, Merlin’s and Dusty’s Bar & BBQ until 10pm.
