Warwick Brady’s Speech at SR Technics – Malta

Honorable Prime Minister Gonzi, British High Commissioner, Minister for Finance Fenech, ladies, gentlemen and colleagues, as the Chief Operations Officer for easyJet, it is a huge privilege for me and the easyJet team to be with you here today to celebrate the re-delivery of the 50th aircraft following its heavy maintenance overhaul.

Since easyJet was founded in 1995 with a mission to provide safe, affordable travel, we have now grown to become Europe’s 4th largest airline, now carrying over 55 million passengers. We have revolutionised the way people travel, and are operating our 200 aircraft on over 1200 flights per day to more than 30 countries on over 600 routes.

However, to achieve this, we can’t do this alone. It is with the support of our strategic partners, such as SR Technics. Our philosophy is to work very closely with our strategic partners and their people in order to create successful partnerships that help build our competitive advantage in the market.

Today’s milestone therefore would not have been possible without the vision and hard work of many people at easyJet and at SRT.

The team here at the Malta facility have succeeded in returning all 50 aircraft successfully and on time, which is a significant achievement. This achievement is true testament to the skilled work force in Malta.

In conclusion, we very much look forward to successfully working with SRT and the Malta team over the coming years, and once again thank everyone here today for making this event such a success. As appreciation to you and your team Andre’, we would like to present your team with a framed picture – which has been engraved to mark today’s event.
