Dorchester Collection’s UK properties win at Hotel Cateys 2012

2012-11-22 — /travelprnews.com/ — On Friday 16 November 2012, Dorchester Collection’s regional Human Resources team, who manage talent at Dorchester Collection’s three hotels in the UK – The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in London and Coworth Park in Berkshire – were awarded ‘Human Resources Team of the Year’ at this year’s Hotel Cateys. Lesley Skelt, Head Housekeeper at Coworth Park, was awarded ‘Housekeeper of the Year’ and Roberto Salicio, Deputy Food & Beverage Manager at The Dorchester, was shortlisted for ‘Restaurant Manager of the Year’ having successfully managed The Grill and The Promenade.

Since its launch in 2007, the Hotel Cateys have become an independent benchmark of operational excellence within the hospitality industry. The awards recognise, reward and celebrate the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to support the UK’s hotel sector by delivering exceptional guest experience.

Dorchester Collection’s ninth hotel 45 Park Lane opened on 1st September 2011 with Wolfgang Puck’s first venture in Europe, CUT at 45 Park Lane. Throughout the intimate-sized hotel, luxurious and contemporary interiors by New York based designer, Thierry Despont, provide a club-like feel offering international guests a smart, central environment from which to enjoy London.   Each of the spacious 45 rooms and suites offer views of Hyde Park, as does a spectacular Penthouse Suite with wrap around terrace offering panoramic views across London.  A striking central staircase leads to a mezzanine featuring Bar 45 and a resident’s Library.
