This expansion brings the total weekly flights to 21, up from 14, providing travelers between the National Capital Region and London with more options during the busy travel season. Local leaders, including Chryssa Westerlund, Executive Vice President of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, welcomed the announcement, emphasizing that the United Kingdom is the largest international air market for the region.
