2012-10-1 — /travelprnews.com/ — Champagne is flowing at Bohemia today as the team learn that the restaurant has retained its Michelin star for an impressive eighth year. After the results were accidentally leaked by Michelin yesterday morning there has been a tense wait for the official listing, which finally came through yesterday afternoon.
Commenting on this year’s success Bohemia Bar & Restaurant Owner, Lawrence Huggler says, ‘This is incredible news and I am so proud of the entire brigade led by Chef Shaun Rankin for their continued hard work and dedication to making Bohemia one of the finest restaurants in the country. To achieve the very high standards set by the Michelin inspectors year after year is no mean feat and a huge thank you must also go to the island’s top suppliers who we work so closely with to ensure the very best produce is served at our restaurant. We are proud to be one of 3 Michelin starred restaurants on the island. We are also excited about 2013 and our plans to move Bohemia forward yet again with news to announced later this year.”
The success comes just one month after Bohemia was named in the top 40 restaurants in the UK by the Good Food Guide where it scored an impressive 6/10 for its ‘Exemplary cooking skills, innovative ideas, impeccable ingredients and an element of excitement.’
Since opening its doors in April 2004 Bohemia Bar & Restaurant has received an impressive array of accolades, including a Michelin Star which it has held onto since 2005, 4 AA Rosettes and a coveted A** in Harden’s UK Restaurant Guide.
