Austrian Airlines seeks new talents for its Apprenticeship training in 2022

Vienna, Austria, 2022-Jan-12 — /Travel PR News/ — For 25 years apprenticeship training for young people has been a particularly high priority for Austrian Airlines. “Apprenticeship training is an important and valuable investment in the future. On the one hand, apprentices are our aviation experts of tomorrow, and on the other hand, we want to give young adults perspectives for their professional lives. We are very pleased that we will also be able to offer training as a mechatronics technician in production technology in 2022,” says Austrian Airlines COO Francesco Sciortino.

Since 1997, more than 200 apprentices have been trained in a variety of technical apprenticeships at the red-white-red apprenticeship workshop at Vienna Airport’s hangar. The mechatronics technician apprenticeship programme was introduced in 2019 and is one of the most popular apprenticeships at Austrian Airlines. Currently, 20 young talents are enrolled in this exciting apprenticeship. “Especially in the aviation industry, smooth procedures are unthinkable without professional maintenance staff. We value comprehensive training as well as a high level of quality,” says COO Francesco Sciortino.

Mechatronics apprenticeship starts in September – applications possible until 13 February

The mechatronics training, which can be combined with the Austrian Matura, takes place in the Austrian Airlines apprentice workshop at Vienna Airport. During the 3.5-year apprenticeship, the trainees benefit from the experience and professionalism of Austrian Airlines technicians. In addition to practical training on the job in the specialist workshops and in aircraft maintenance, the apprenticeship also includes specialist Cat.
