Asian Carrier Launches Route to Europe through Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 2012-12-05 — /travelprnews.com/ — Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) yesterday celebrated the expansion of its global network at Abu Dhabi International Airport with the start of operation of Garuda Indonesia connecting Abu Dhabi to Jakarta in Indonesia and Amsterdam, Holland.

The first flight from the airline arrived to Abu Dhabi from Jakarta landing at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 01:00 am on Monday, 3rd December.

The new route brings four weekly flights between Jakarta, Abu Dhabi and Amsterdam. This service is scheduled to fly out of Jakarta at 19:40 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 01:00 the following day. Flights will then leave Abu Dhabi at 02:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Amsterdam at 06:55 the same day.

On the return, the service will fly out of Amsterdam at 09:40 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 19:45. It will depart from Abu Dhabi on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 21:15, arriving in Jakarta at 07:55.

The four weekly flights will be operated on Airbus A330-200 with 36 business and 186 economy seats. Garuda Indonesia has also signed a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, which will enable passengers on this route to connect further from Jakarta or Amsterdam to the rest of the world through Etihad’s comprehensive and fast growing global network.
