2012-09-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — To mark the 2nd edition of the Gastronomic Festival on 22 September, Air France and Servair will offer gourmet treats and an original Q&A session with chefs for passengers of flight AF 718 between Paris and Dakar.
With the cooperation of three Servair chefs present on board, Air France and its airline catering subsidiary will offer customers in all three cabin classes elegant appetizers worthy of a fine restaurant.
During the flight, passengers will be able to talk to the chefs and learn the secrets of the air transport catering trade: tips on seasoning a dish served on board, the ingredients not compatible with air transport and the absolute essentials, as well as advice on presentation and other rare information about airline cuisine.
“This flight is a great opportunity to celebrate our love of food and promote the convivial in-flight dining experience we offer all our passengers every day”, stated Christian Herzog, SVP Marketing Air France.
“We are delighted to give our chefs the occasion to meet passengers and demonstrate our devotion to fine cuisine and give them an insight into our universe”, added Claude Thénevin, EVP sales, marketing and innovation Servair.
