Aerolíneas Argentinas, Re-Launches its mileage program with more banks and credit cards

Buenos Aires, 2012-11-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — Aerolíneas Argentinas re-launches its AR Plus program by associating itself with new banks and allowing passengers to have more facilities to earn miles and get more and better benefits.
New agreements with Marco Group, Hipotecario, Nacion, Provincia, Credicoop, American Express card, and the renewal with Galicia Bank, to earn miles when using the cards to make a purchase.

Miles may also be added when members stay at any Hilton and Nh Chain of hotels or hiring cars from Avis, Alamo or Eurocar.

Thus AR Plus is the only program in the world, together with Qantas, which have associated themselves with the multibanks system which allows miles to be redeemed when using the card from any of seven banks to fly, placing itself in an avant-garde position for passengers associated to the frequent flyer program.

The new AR Plus program allows to credit one mile for the equivalent in pesos of one dollar of consumption with the credit cards associated to the program; and it is the only program that requests less miles to fly to international destinations.

AR Plus now, not only extends the services of Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral, with its 35 domestic destinations, but it can be used with all the airlines belonging to the SkyTeam Alliance, thus adding more than a thousand destinations worldwide to redeem miles.

Another important added benefit is the possibility, for Platinum and Gold members, to have an up – grade, on domestic flights and regional, when seats are available in Business Class.

Aerolíneas Plus members may also use the combination of “miles + pesos” for all destinations, National and International, with Aerolineas and Austral.

The program also includes earning miles and discounts for AR Plus members in more than 400 hotels, restaurants, excursions and car rental.

The aim of the new programme and its addition to more banks, is loyalty to their clients and to quadruple the number of members in the next five years.

The announcement was made at the Libertador room of the San Martin Palace, with the presence of the President of Aerolineas Argentinas, Mariano Recalde, and CEOs of banks and associated credit institutions.
