Aeroflot’s loyalty program, Aeroflot Bonus recognized with four Freddie Awards

MOSCOW, Russia, 2018-May-03 — /Travel PR News/ — Aeroflot’s loyalty program, Aeroflot Bonus, has won three categories at the prestigious Freddie Awards: Best Elite Program, Best Customer Service and Best Redemption Ability. The Russia flag carrier’s frequent flyer programme also picked up the special 210 Award given to companies with the greatest growth potential. The award ceremony was held on April 26 in Seattle.

This year’s winners were determined through online voting in six categories for three regions – North and South America, Europe/Africa, and Middle East/Asia/Oceania. More than 4.2 million people from more than 230 countries voted for the best loyalty programmes from February 15 to March 31. The wide range of participants and a vote-counting system that accounts for the size of the nominated company ensure that the results are fair.

The Freddie Awards were established in 1988 by leading industry magazine InsideFlyer and today are among the most reputable awards for loyalty programs, rewarding the best loyalty programs in two key areas of the tourism industry – airlines and hotels – every year. Previous winners have included Air France-KLM, Lufthansa, American Airlines and Southwest. The famous Freddie Awards statuette has become a symbol of the highest global recognition for an airline loyalty program that meets the requirements of the sophisticated modern passenger.

Aeroflot Bonus is the largest loyalty program in Russia and CIS countries, with more than 7.1 million participants. Members are credited with miles for flights operated by Aeroflot, Rossiya, Aurora or SkyTeam airlines. They can also collect miles by purchasing goods and services from partners of the Aeroflot Bonus program. Miles can be used for premium tickets and upgrades, or exchanged for partner bonuses.

For the second consecutive year, the Freddie Awards have acknowledged two main advantages of Aeroflot Bonus: passengers’ ability to use miles and the high level of service. As a client-oriented global airline and the Russian flag carrier, it is significant that these criteria are characteristic of Aeroflot’s activities as a whole.
