ADAC-operated Middle East business aviation airport Al Bateen Executive Airport to base Rotana Jet’s new A319 Airbus at its facilities

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 2013-08-22 — /travelprnews.com/ — Al Bateen Executive Airport, the dedicated business aviation airport in the Middle East operated by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), announced today that Rotana Jet will be basing a new A319 Airbus at its facilities.

The Rotana Jet fleet currently based at Al Bateen Executive Airport consists of two Embraer 145 aircraft and a Gulfstream G450 aircraft.  The Embraer 145 aircraft operate three times a week to Sir Bani Yas Island, and twice a week to Fujairah and Delma Island, and the Gulfstream G450 is available for private charter flights.

Rotana Jet’s new A319 Airbus will be available for private chartering and will have a total of 32 business class seats and 18 economy class seats.
Additionally, Rotana Jet recently obtained a CAR 145 maintenance organisation approval from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) for providing aircraft maintenance and component support to the G450 and ERJ145 aircraft for other operators from its 2,500m2 maintenance facility at Al Bateen Airport.

Yousif Al Hammadi, General Manager of Al Bateen Executive Airport, commented: “Rotana Jet’s commitment to base their new A319 at Al Bateen Executive Airport demonstrates the airport’s position as a key business aviation hub for the region, and as a preferred base for charter aircraft operators.  As Al Bateen continues to grow its capacity through investments in new infrastructure, ADAC looks forward to additional private aircraft partners making the Executive Airport their hub in the Middle East.”

Rotana Jet also operates out of Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) and recently expanded its domestic route network with flights operating to Fujairah and Al Ain.
