MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – 2012-10-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today, Hilton Worldwide announced the appointment of Todd F. Temperly as general manager of The Marquette. Temperly will oversee the day-to-day operations of this full-service Minneapolis hotel and will report directly to Hilton Worldwide Area Vice President, Thomas Loughlin.
“Todd’s long-standing career with Hilton Worldwide and his experience in hotel management made him a natural choice for this position,” said Loughlin. “I am confident Todd will continue the tradition of exemplary service that The Marquette has been recognized for by business and leisure travelers alike.”
Temperly most recently served as the hotel manager of The Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel in Chicago, a position he held since 2009. During his time at this historic hotel, Temperly helped exceed all quality and guest service score goals as well as team member survey targets, and through his leadership, elevated the hotel to AAA Four Diamond status. Prior to that, he worked at Hilton Chicago where he began as the executive director of housekeeping and laundry/valet operations and was later promoted to an executive assistant hotel manager position where he was responsible for overall management and day-to-day operation of all departments including profitability, guest service, product quality, staff relations, and overall cleanliness and maintenance.
Earlier in his career, Temperly held other management positions at Hilton Chicago including, director of housekeeping services, assistant director of human resources, and assistant director of housekeeping services. However, before returning to Hilton Chicago he served as the executive director of housekeeping at the legendary The Waldorf=Astoria and The Waldorf Towers in New York.
Temperly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
